Description

Richly coloured Turkoman trapping, a tent decoration and erstwhile face of a bag, these are popular with collectors. The saturated natural dyes are very attractive and this one is special for the use of light blue and magenta silk highlights, little bright flashes of light nestling within the woollen pile. I also enjoy the stylised 'Mina Khani' design that has been used here, it's a showcase of flowers and is well animated.
