Description

A lovely chunky antique curb chain bracelet which secures with a shield-shaped padlock and a safety chain for additional security. The padlock is inset with lapis lazuli in a beautiful shade of royal blue flecked with gold pyrite, and the back is engraved with a Scottish thistle.

SIZE: The bracelet is approximately seven and a half inches long (19cm), not including the safety chain; the padlock measures 1.3 x 3.8cm.

WEIGHT: 57g.

MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver, lapis lazuli.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Each large link is stamped with the lion passant symbol for sterling silver. The padlock is marked 925.

CONDITION: In excellent antique condition with normal surface wear; the padlock opens and closes nicely and there are no chips or cracks to the lapis.

ERA: Late Victorian (c.1880-1901).
