Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The lid opens to reveal a fitted jewellery tray, recently re-lined in Burgundy coloured velvet, the interior of the lid retains it's original tufted silk lining. Down each side of the tray are ring holders and a central compartment for a pocket watch, perfect today for a wristwatch or bracelet.

The doors are fitted with thick bevelled glass with three drawers behind, lined with a combination of original silk around the sides and the bottoms re-lined in velvet. A real gem, in excellent condition (minor wear commensurate with age) and complete with working key, measuring 9" x 6 1/2" x 10" tall.
