Circa 1860. Quality mid-Victorian figured walnut Wellington secretaire chest. Surmounted by a polished top in highly figured walnut with a simple fore-edge and beaded frieze. With a locking pilaster on the right-hand side above seven graduated drawer fronts, the third and fourth drawer front dropping down to reveal a fitted secretaire interior with satinwood drawers and pigeon holes. All sitting on an enclosed plinth base. Lovely colour and patina and in excellent condition.
