1900 - 1920
Sold by AC Silver
Description

A stunning, fine and impressive antique 1.30 carat sapphire and 0.70 carat diamond, 18 carat yellow gold and platinum set dress ring; part of our diverse collection of twist rings.

This stunning, fine and impressive antique sapphire ring has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum setting.

The pierced decorated setting is embellished with three claw set sapphires, totalling 1.30cts, in a linear formation.

The central sapphire is flanked with two claw set Old European cut diamonds, in a twist design.

The feature gemstones are conjoined with a swept platinum set frame ornamented with sixteen pavé diamonds, in a combination of Dutch and eight cuts.

The impressive sinuous ring setting is further ornamented with six millegrain decorated collet set diamonds, completing the stunning and desirable antique design.

The swept ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain yellow gold shank.

This impressive Edwardian sapphire ring is hallmarked to the outer surface of the shank with the French 18ct gold mark (eagle's head) and has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold and platinum.

This impressive antique sapphire and diamond dress ring is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.

This Edwardian sapphire and diamond twist ring makes a beautiful anniversary gift and a thoughtful choice for those born in September, with sapphire as their birthstone. Its elegant twist design symbolises enduring connection, making it a particularly romantic gesture for Valentine’s Day or a meaningful milestone.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.

Condition

This stunning original antique ring is excellent quality, set with impressive blue sapphires displaying fine colour, brilliance and presence.

The high colour graded diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance.

The hand-crafted ring is an excellent gauge of gold and platinum and is in excellent condition.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this stunning example of antique sapphire jewellery.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
