Founders Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The central recess is decorated with carved fan motifs adding a touch of refined neoclassical sophistication to the otherwise restrained design.

Ideal as a hall, console or serving table, equally suited to a study or dining room. Graceful in form and finely balanced, it reflects the poise and craftsmanship of late Georgian furniture at its best.

Presented in very good antique condition, with a warm patina and surface wear consistent with age and use. There is evidence of historic woodworm to the underside and an old repair beneath one drawer, both long-stabilised. Drawers run smoothly and are fitted with later brass ring handles in period style. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
English, circa 1800.
