A stunning late 19th century Louis XVI style cream and gilt painted fauteuil / armchair

with a padded back and arched top rail above a sprung seat with curved front rail, all supported on slender fluted tapering legs. A very attractive chair, beautifully reupholstered in damask fabric by Sanderson. Circa 1880.

In beautiful condition throughout.
