The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
Further engraved patterns around the row of pierced hearts and the base of the bowl. The handle is nicely cast with further bright cut engraved detail to create a vacant cartouche to the end and feathered detail up the stem. Hallmarked to the reverse for Birmingham 1820, maker Joseph Taylor.

It measures 9.2cm (3 5/8") long and 3.9cm (1 1/2") wide and 9g / 0.3ozt.
In excellent condition with no damage, dents or repairs and minimal handling wear.
