Founders Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The shaped gallery and tall legs provide a light, upright stance, equally suited to use beside a bed or as an occasional cabinet in a sitting room or hallway. An honest, beautifully preserved example of early rural 19th-century craftsmanship.

Presented in very good antique condition with a rich, even patina and minor wear consistent with age. Later but sympathetic 19th-century hardware includes a small turned wooden knob and catch, with mid-Victorian brass hinges neatly fitted in period. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place.
English, circa 1820.
