Description

A fine oak dinner gong, featuring a beautifully turned and carved solid oak frame with elegant finials and out-swept feet for stability. The craftsmanship displays the refined decorative style typical of the early 20th century.

At the centre hangs a hand-hammered brass gong plate, suspended on a cord and producing a deep, resonant tone when struck. A later replacement mallet accompanies the piece, resting neatly on a side peg.
