An ebonised and gilt-edged case of country house proportions, sitting on pad feet, containing eleven birds all collected in India apart from the pair of Lovebirds which are African.

“Peculiar sadness has been evoked among their numerous friends by the death of Mr and Mrs Walter K Petherick which took place last week within the short space of three days….. Mr Petherick who had been overwhelmed with grief at the illness of his wife, expired from heart failure on the following Saturday evening, his age being 65”
This case being a fine example, retaining all its original glass and is in excellent state of preservation. The case coming fresh to the market this week direct from the family where it has been for the last 150 or so years.
