Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
Constructed of first class walnut which has matured over the decades into a warm rich colour with fabulous grain and patina.
It has been prfessionally restored and French polished so the top is in unmarked condition and of course the additonal leaf is exactly the same colour.
The grain is truly wonderful and the top has cantered corners but what really makes this table stand out are the fabulous slightly tapering fluted legs ending in its original polished brass cups and brown castors.
it comes with a winding handle and the runners move easily with no sticking.
It measures 70 " x 41.5 """ when fully extended, with the additional leaf removed 49.75 " x 41.5 " 29 " high.
This table has been sympathetically restored whilst still retaining its original features.
It seats 8 comfortably when fully extended and six with the additional leaf removed.
Because this is a dark walnut it matches beautifully with mahogany furniture.
A fabulous piece of genuine antique Victorian furniture which would grace any period home.
Delivery for this table is normally free for mainland England and Wales, unfortunately as we are based in Cornwall it is not viable for us to deliver to Scotland or Northern Ireland.
