Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A side-handled chocolate pot is a specialized eighteenth-century serving vessel designed with a straight handle positioned perpendicular to the spout, specifically used for serving hot chocolate beverages.

Antique chocolate pots were crafted from solid silver or sterling silver, frequently featuring turned wooden or ebony handles designed to insulate the hand from heat.

Authentic pieces generally feature stamped makers marks and purity hallmarks, hand-hammered silver construction, elevated tripod feet, and a removable finial or aperture in the lid for a stirrer.

Position the pot on a sideboard top, bar cart, or within a glass display cabinet alongside historic tableware to introduce visual contrast to contemporary dining spaces.

Clean silver hollowware using a soft cloth and specialized non-abrasive silver polish, taking care to avoid harsh chemicals that might strip engraved detailing or damage wooden handles.
