A Qashqai kilim is a traditional flatweave textile woven by the nomadic Qashqai tribes of southwestern Iran. Recognised for bold geometric patterns, vivid vegetable-dyed colours, and intricate border details, these rugs serve both functional and decorative floor coverings.

Traditional kilims are constructed using natural wool spun for both warp and weft threads, occasionally incorporating cotton warp threads for structural stability. They are crafted using a slit-weave flatweave technique, where colour changes create characteristic vertical slits between adjacent geometric blocks.
