Antique Miniature Single Chain Fusee Library Clock by Webster London

19th century
Description

Antique Miniature Single Chain Fusee Library Mantel Clock By Webster London.

This absolutely stunning antique library / mantel clock has a fantastic case with a beautiful rich colour and grain. The top of the case is shaped leading to a lovely moulding around the top edge. This then leads to the body of the case which is square with the front corners having wonderful floral carving. The sides of the case then have thick bevelled glass panels as well as the front and back having glass panels so the movement can be fully viewed. There is then a lovely belled out section which sets it off beautifully and is in the typical library clock style although on this example this area is carved. Finally there is a further moulding leading to the base.

The dial is then silvered and set out in Roman numerals with a thin ring to the outside marking the minutes. The silvered dial then features beautiful engravings to each corner. Finally the dial is finished by two lovely, shaped blued steel fingers.

The movement is then both wound and accessed from the back. It is ticking away and working as it should and comes complete with its regulating pendulum and winding key. It is a chain fusee example of the upmost quality and works perfectly!

It measures approximately:

- 10” / 25.5cm Tall.

- 6.75” / 17cm Wide.

- 5.25” / 13cm Deep.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
