Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1920s and 1930s is defined by geometric shapes, clean lines, symmetrical patterns, and contrasting gemstone combinations. Jewelers during this period frequently combined platinum with gold and utilized precision techniques like millegrain edging.

Art Deco rings frequently featured platinum heads paired with 18ct yellow or white gold bands. High-grade natural gemstones, including rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and diamonds, were set using intricate bead work and bezel settings.

Authentic period rings typically exhibit mixed-metal construction, hand-cut gemstones such as old-mine or rose cuts, fine hand-applied millegrain detailing, and period hallmarks or makers marks inside the band.

A vintage ruby and diamond ring serves as a focal statement piece when worn alongside tailored contemporary clothing or minimalist gold and platinum everyday jewellery bands.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush, avoiding ultrasonic cleaners if natural rubies are present. Store the item separately in a fabric-lined box to prevent harder stones from scratching metal surfaces.
