Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The circular tops are in their original pale blue needlework and floral beadwork upholstery. With brass makers labels underneath for “Rose & Hird Upholsterers & Cabinet Makers 4 Bishop St Stockton on Tees.” These footstools were often designed to sit under and in between the legs of wingback armchairs.

Good condition, solid and sturdy frames with good colour and patina. Some wear to the needlework seats, with some small sections of beadwork missing. Wear and marks commensurate with age.
