Pair of Large Silver Candlesticks 1917

1900 - 1920
Description

A Large Pair of Silver Candlesticks.

Each with a lift out drip pan of 'square' rounded scallop shape, the stepped rims surrounding the dished body. The drip pans fitting within campana vase shaped candle holders, resting on stepped and concave knops, above the rising leaf stems, finished with vase shaped bases. The vase bases spreading into a ringed socle, and thence the 'square' rounded corner and stepped plinths. The undersides loaded within a baize covering.

Hallmarked throughout for Fordham & Fordham, Sheffield 1917.

Height 11 3/4 inches, 30cm.

Width 5 1/4 inches, 13.5cm.

Depth 5 1/4 inches, 13.5cm.
