1940 - 1960
Description

Outstanding Heavy Omega solid 18ct gold gents wristwatch from 1965.

This is a very fine example of a gents classic wristwatch made by the world renowned premier swiss maker Omega.

The watch is the rare and highly desirable Omega Constellation Chronometer with fully automatic calibre 561 24 jewel chronometer rated movement which has just been overhauled and serviced and comes with a 12 month warranty, as you can see it is in fabulous condition. This was Omegas top of the range watch in 1965.

The dial is perfect having just been professionally restored to new condition . It has gold dagger hands and baton markers

The constellation logo on the back of the case is bright and crisp all of the stars are sharp and well defined, its had very little wear.

As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.

The heavy 18ct gold fully hallmarked case has been ultrasonically cleaned and lightly hand polished so it is absolutely pristine with sharp edges. The case was made for Omega by the British company Dennisons who made most of the solid 18ct gold cases used by Omega for the British market. Dennison cases tend to be around 25% heavier than the standard Omega watch cases.

The case is fully hallmarked and the date letter confirms that it was made in 1965.

The case measures 34.5mm in diameter excluding the winding crown.

It comes with its original Omega constellation box also in excellent condition.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
