A Small William Comyns Cast Silver Photo Frame

A superb small and fully cast silver photo frame by the great William Comyns. This charming example is of easel form with a fabric easel back. The shaped front is pierced, featuring flowers, masks and leaves and the aperture is ovoid. A good and superior example, suitable for a single portrait. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent with no splits or breaks. The back is showing some wear and there is a tiny pinprick to the cartouche, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Maker's mark feint, but readable.
