Description

Circa 1870. A pair of Gothic oak chairs stamped, ‘John Taylor & Son, Edinburgh’, the shaped top rail with a pierced back with gothic arches and chamfered fore edges, with a large stuff over seat and simple  seat rails, back legs are square and slightly out swept, front legs are turned, ring turned and tapering On the underside of one chair is stamped.
