Rare Early Pre-1800 John Rose Coalport Porcelain Low Chelsea Ewer Cream Jug

£125    $165    €142
An attractive and rare ''Chelsea ewer'' shape low porcelain cream jug, made in the very early days of John Rose at Caughley or the new Coalport site. The body, in a hard paste, well modelled with spiral fluting and detailed acanthus leaf moulding, raised shaped rim and distinctive shaped handle. Decorated in the New Hall style in bright pastel enamels. Unmarked, c.1796.
