The side doors are held closed with turn catches accessed via the loackable middle door. Low waisted base with four large drawer (the top row of drawers being dummy fronts to allow for greater hanging height in the top). Very unusual cornice with a with pierced fretwork frieze to the front and sides. Mahogany crossbanded door panels within raised mouldings and reeded quarter columns flanking the top, both typical of Cheshire furniture from the period. Mahogany crossbanded drawer fronts with good quality Georgian style brass swanneck handles. Canted corners to the base with blind fretwork carved detail. Ogee mouldings to the waist and around the base, shaped bracket feet to the front and sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
Could be fitted with shelves if preferred to make a housekeeper's or kitchen cupboard.
