Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco engagement rings from the 1920s and 1930s are recognised for their clean geometric lines, symmetry, and architectural influence. Settings frequently utilised white metals like platinum or white gold to emphasize the radiance of diamonds, often featuring detailed shoulders, filigree, or calibre-cut accent stones.

Rings from the 1930s primarily featured platinum or palladium-alloyed white gold due to their strength and bright metallic sheen. Central stones were typically old European cut or early brilliant cut diamonds, which were faceted by hand to maximise sparkle under soft light.

Authentic Art Deco rings usually display period hallmarks indicating metal purity, along with hand-cut diamond characteristics like a prominent culet and small table facet. Additionally, genuine pieces show signs of hand fabrication and period-appropriate wear rather than modern casting lines.

An Art Deco diamond ring pairs seamlessly with slim platinum or white gold wedding bands for a minimal look. To create visual contrast, it can also be worn alongside plain geometric bands or stacked with fine modern rings.

Clean the ring using warm water, mild liquid soap, and a very soft toothbrush to remove accumulated debris from under the setting. Avoid harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners if the ring contains fine grain settings, and have the claws inspected periodically by a jeweller.
