Description

This delightful Edwardian silver glazed single stamp box was made by the renowned silevrsmiths Saunders & Shepherd and is dated Birmingham 1903. The glazed lid encasing an original stamp. The silver frame embossed with flower heads. The box and hinged cover lined with green leather.

Hallmarks:

CS*FS for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "c" for 1903.

Dimensions:

Width: 4cm / 1.5 inches.

Maximum height: 3cm / 1.2 inches.

Length: 4.5cm / 1.6 inches.

Condition:

Good.

Silver in good order.

Leather lining in good condition.
