Stunning Victorian (or possibly Georgian) mahogany corner cupboard.
This piece exudes absolute class and craftsmanship, showcasing the kind of quality that’s becoming increasingly rare. The mahogany is rich and elegant, and the curved frontage adds a touch of sophistication that’s hard to beat. The condition is remarkable—near excellent—which suggests it has been lovingly preserved over the years.
The brass fittings have an unmistakably Georgian flair, hinting that this may even date back further than the Victorian era. The finish is excellent, likely the result of a careful and thorough restoration, which only enhances its magnificent presence.
The top cornice has been reworked with the original pieces, and the actual finish undulates slightly. The doors will need a cabinet catch, and when fully closed, there is a 2 mm gap between the two closed doors. Well, it is well over 150 years old!
The backing an
...d shelves are solid oak and there are some marks and stains to the shelves.
Beautiful original brass furniture.
This is a true statement piece that would elevate any space, combining functionality with timeless elegance. A treasure of craftsmanship, ready to shine in its next home. Would look great in pretty much any room.
