This antique Victorian washstand dates to the late 19th century and is a beautiful example of traditional English craftsmanship. It features a solid satinwood frame with turned legs and a stretcher base, the base is pine, supporting a smooth white marble top that has mellowed with age. The back is tiled with the original ornate floral ceramic panels in warm golden yellows, soft browns, and hints of blue, each with delicate crazing that speaks to their authenticity and age. The single wide drawer retains its original brass shell handles, and the piece sits on its original small castors, making it practical to move as it would have been in Victorian bedrooms and bathrooms.

The condition reflects its heritage: the marble surface shows natural marks, faint scratches and light staining developed over more than a century of use, while the tiles have areas of gentle crazing but remain vibrant and securely set.
