Silver (tested) mounted Georgian Cowrie shell snuff, gorgeous condition and quality with beautifully engraved decoration to the silver and with chased initials and the remains of a worn crest. There is an old repair to the lid just next to the hinge, see image, it�s been nicely done. Measures just short of 3� inches (8cm) long. All my photos are taken using natural light only.
