Description

A most interesting snuff box dating from the 18th century and has been passed to a number of people in its history.

First inscription C Jorgen v d Diepenbeck 1730 marked out in pin pricks.

Second inscription H v d Heidt roman numerals 1804

Third inscription W v d Heidt 1842

Fourth inscription G W E Scheidt 1862

Fifth inscription G A E Scheidt 1866

Sixth inscription Erich Cron 1926

Makers mark only of HP which could be Henry Price London 1725-35.

The gilding inside indicates that it has not been used.
