Crafted from the finest quality mahogany, this desk boasts a beautifully figured grain and a rich, glowing patina developed over more than a century. The impressive rectangular top is inset with a superb green gilt-tooled leather writing surface, gently worn to perfection, bordered by a moulded mahogany edge that frames the piece with understated sophistication.
What sets this desk apart is its true partners design, featuring a full bank of drawers on both sides, offering exceptional storage and practicality. On one side, nine graduated drawers provide ample space for documents and stationery, with the central frieze drawer ideal for writing tools. The opposite side mirrors this layout, offering a further full complement of drawers, allowing two people to work comfortably opposite one another, the hallmark of a genuine partners desk.
Each drawer is oak-lined and hand-dovetailed, demonstrating the highest standard of Victorian cabinetmaking.
