Art Deco 1.45 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1940

Description

A wonderful vintage engagement ring. The old European cut diamond in the centre - gauged at weighting just under one and a half carat - is bright, internally clean and full of fire. The stone is secured in an eight claw open collet, allowing maximum light to pass through the stone. The finely vented shoulders are set with six (three each side) rose cut diamonds, leading to a slim 18k white gold shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut: Old European cut in the centre, with rose cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Colour: The centre is J. The diamonds in the shoulders are I to J.

Clarity: The centre is VS2. The small diamonds in the shoulders range from SI1 to SI2.

Carat: The centre is approximately 1.45 carat, with a further approximate 0.05 carat in the shoulders.

Circa: 1940.

Size: O (UK) or 7 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The centre diamond is approximately 6.2mm in diameter and sits 6.25mm from the finger.

Weight: 2.54 grams.

Metal: 18k white gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
