Two Regency Silk Embroidered Waistcoats C.1830

19th century
Description

Two Regency gentlemens silk and embroidered waistcoats. The first is a small fit, it is black or dark navy with a lattice pattern with sprays of flowers embroidered on top. It has a cowl collar and two small pockets. There are four embossed brass buttons and it is lined in cream cotton. At the back there are ribbons to tighten the waistcoat. It is in good condition. The second waistcoat is black silk with spray of colourful flowers. It also has a shaped collar and two slit pockets. There are six covered buttons, the last having been replaced over the years. This is a large fit and it has a buckle and ribbon to tighten it at the back. It is also lined in cotton and is in good condition. The price is for the two.
