Early all German front crank first model JUPITER pencil sharpener introduced in 1897
 
These first models do not have a drawer for the shavings and never did
 
The pencil, while rotating, is pushed into the cutting head by pressing the lever which progressively grips the rack in the bed
 
Lightly cleaned and serviced, working well.
 
Original black japanned finish and gilt lettering
 
Chipping to the black and wear to the gilt otherwise in good condition and working order
