The stone is secured in an eight claw coronet collet, with fine detailing running down the shoulders of the of the band, to a slim, D-shaped 18k yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by a report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indications of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin, from Mogok.
Cut: Cushion.
Colour: Purplish red.

Clarity: Eye clean.
Carat: 1.37.
Circa: 1905.

Measurements: The ruby is approximately 7.4 x 6.2mm and sits 4.4mm from the finger.
