RA from 1897, in the provinces and at the Paris Salon.Lived at Hinderwell near Staithes.He was a leading member of the Staithes School of Artists.His work is much collected and an painting by him was recently auctioned for £10000. ‘ Horse Guards, Whitehall, London ‘ signed watercolour heightened with white ;image size 23.5x31 cms,framed size 47 x54cms; provenance :Exhibited T B & R.Jordan ‘ Third Harrogate Staithes Exhibition 2005
