A fine quality pair of hexagonal panel antique vases. Very high quality decoration shows peacocks and small birds among flowers including peonies and wisteria. The gilding is in very good condition. The decoration continues up through the vase shoulders and there is a cicada wing frieze around the bottom. Typically Japanese these are a matched pair but with different scenes.
