A south American songbird in typical wall hanging gilt edged dome. Circa 1885.
Gardner’s small trade label listing ‘by appointment to the Queen’ along with the address 426 Oxford Street London, can be found nestled amongst the ground work. With additional inscription ‘Scarlet Tanager” inscribed to the verso of case.
This particular wall dome is one from an original set of four. All recently purchased from a private house, and not previously offered for sale.
