Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Victorian cast iron garden benches are nineteenth-century outdoor seating pieces characterised by heavy, decorative cast metal end frames paired with horizontal timber slats.

These pieces generally combine sand-cast iron frames for structural weight and stability with durable timber slats, fastened together with heavy iron fixings.

Authentic period examples often feature foundry marks or registration stamps cast into the inner frame, distinct casting seam lines, and evidence of historic paint layers.

A pair of cast iron benches can be arranged along a garden path, positioned inside a spacious conservatory, or set within a large hallway to introduce architectural structure.

Iron components require periodic application of rust-inhibiting paint or wax, while wooden slats should be sealed against moisture and stored under cover during severe winter weather.
