Beautifull Antique Oil Lamp sanding 72cm Tall to top of chimney.The lamp has a stepped base of 15cm square with a fluted column over and a corinthian decorative top.The font is an acid green cased glass graduating in colour from almost white at the base, to dark green at the top. A frieze of sprigs of flowers encircles the main body.A brass �British Made� Rowatt duplex burner screws into the collar and has working wick winders and snuffer lever. Some wick remains.A good quality brass gallery supports a fluted green globe shaped shade and the lamp has a flat bulge chimney.ConditiionThe base although antique was made in the period when electric lighting was beginning to be used and was produced with a hole for possible wiring later.
