Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
A fine and elegant Early Victorian Mahogany Wind-Out dining table Circa 1850 .
Crafted from a beautifully figured mahogany, it retains its original idyllic lightly faded and lustrous French polished finish, which showcases the timber's warm tones and rich patina built over its long history.

This table has been thoroughly checked over in our workshop, where it has been cleaned and waxed to bring out the best of its original character. It is a versatile and practical piece, complete with its two original leaves, allowing it to be extended to accommodate larger gatherings. Without the leaves, it comfortably seats four people. With one leaf in place, it can seat six, and with both leaves, it can accommodate a dinner party of eight, or even up to ten people depending on the chairs used.

Unlike many wind-out tables, this example is remarkably stable and flat when fully extended, running true and straight—a testament to its exceptional construction and care. The winding mechanism has been expertly serviced, operating with exceptional smoothness, and is accompanied by its original winding handle.

The design is classically Victorian, with four substantial, impressively turned and fluted legs, each terminating in a solid polished brass cup castor. These castors are fitted with the typical early Victorian white porcelain wheels, a detail that speaks to its age and authenticity. This combination of robust design and delicate, functional features is a hallmark of high-quality furniture from this period.

This table is not only a functional dining piece but also a statement of historical style and enduring quality, ready to be a focal point in any period or contemporary interior.
Condition and Provenance As antiques, this table shows signs of age and use. While in fantastic condition, expect minor marks consistent with historical pieces. The table has a strong design and is structurally sound, with no major damage that would detract from its beauty or functionality.
