Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The pose — head inclined, mass carried through the feet — exemplifies the early German Art-Deco tendency toward simplified forms and strong silhouette. Printed green sun over GH to the inner base, confirming Gebruder Heubach production. The model and finish correspond to the factory’s high-grade glazed porcelain line, issued alongside its better-known parian and bisque.

Vitrinescale glazed Heubach porcelains are notably scarce. This 35 cm Snow Owl combines an authorial model by a leading house sculptor, impeccable condition, and a clean factory mark — qualities that place it in the upper tier of Lichte animalier pieces and make it a persuasive acquisition for serious collectors.

Condition:
Excellent, virtually as new. No chips, cracks or restorations; trivial kiln and shelf traces at the foot.
Dimensions and weight: Height 35 cm; width 17 cm; depth 18 cm; weight 2228 g
