Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian silver, produced between 1901 and 1910, frequently reinterpreted classical Georgian and Regency silhouettes with delicate moulding, high scroll handles, and balanced proportions. Craftsmen during this period combined hand-spinning techniques with precise casting for decorative components.

Edwardian table bowls were primarily constructed from sterling silver, an alloy comprising 92.5 percent pure silver and 7.5 percent copper to enhance structural rigidity. Handles and decorative rims were often cast separately and hard-soldered to the main raised vessel.

Authentic Edwardian silver from London displays a complete set of hallmarks stamped into the metal casing. This suite includes the lion passant for sterling purity, the leopards head mark for the London Assay Office, a specific date letter, and the registered sponsors mark.

A silver bowl functions as a reflective focal point when positioned on a dark wood sideboard, marble console table, or dining surface. It can be displayed without contents to showcase the metallic polish or used to hold structured decorative items.

Sterling silver should be cleaned using a specialized, non-abrasive silver cream applied with a soft cotton cloth in straight, light strokes. To prevent rapid oxidisation, store the piece in a dry location inside an anti-tarnish cotton sleeve.
