Gents 9ct gold Smiths wrist watch for J W Benson, 1951.

The watch has a 16-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the name of the original retailer J W Benson.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1951 with a case maker’s mark for the British Watch Case Company. The case is in lovely condition, as is the lens (some white reflection showing in the photos).

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
