Archival Detail
Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery, originating in the 1920s and 1930s, is distinguished by geometric symmetry, clean linear forms, and bold gemstone contrasts. Platinum became the preferred metal during this era due to its strength, allowing for intricate filigree and millegrain detailing.

Art Deco bracelets predominantly utilised platinum settings paired with diamonds and coloured accent stones such as sapphires, emeralds, and rubies. Artisans frequently used custom calibre-cut gemstones fitted tightly together to emphasise geometric patterns.

Authentic pieces from the 1920s feature precision hand-fabricated platinum mounts, fine millegrain border edging, and hand-cut stones such as marquise or old European cuts. Geometric link articulation and calibre-cut gemstone channels are key indicators of period craftsmanship.

Art Deco pieces serve as focal accessories for formal evening wear or tailored contemporary outfits. A platinum diamond bracelet can be worn independently or stacked alongside minimalist platinum bands to complement structured modern silhouettes.

Clean platinum and diamond items using warm water, mild liquid soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust and oils. Store pieces separately in velvet-lined boxes or cloth pouches to prevent gemstones from scratching adjacent metal surfaces.
