Choice flame mahogany case veneers. Brass capped, fluted hood columns with Corinthian capitals at the top. An original central brass finial and lovely, original gilt carvings to the swan-neck pediment. A very well engraved silvered dial with blued steel hands. A seconds dial and signed 'Thos Bullock, Bath'. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell. Circa 1795.

The Bullock family of clockmakers worked in Bath and the surrounding areas in the 18th and 19th centuries. They are well documented in Dowlers' Watch and Clockmakers in the city of Bath' book.
