The silver chalice has a circular rounded form to a knopped pedestal and spreading circular foot.
The paten has a plain circular form to a plain circular sunken well.
The surface of the paten and chalice have a subtle planished finish.

The underside of the chalice foot bears the engraved inscription 'To the glory of God and in abiding memory of Austen D. Norton, March 3rd 1967'*.
The drinking vessel of the chalice retains the original gilding.
