A late 18th century oak potboard dresser, c1780, with three turned forelegs, three drawers (the central drawer with working lock and key) and a potboard shelf. The upper section has shelves with plate grooves and the original iron hooks, with shaped sides and a moulded cornice. The dresser has a lovely rich colour and is a beautiful piece of furniture.Condition: Overall this is in very good condition with a few minor repairs and signs of wear, in accordance with age and use, as follows: there is some damage to the edging running around the potboard shelf, including a couple of pieces that have been broken and reattached. There is wear to the feet. There is an area of loss to the potboard shelf at the rear on the left hand side, and there are some splits in the timber in the same area. There is an expansion crack in the side of the base on the left hand side.
