Late 17th Century Book Binding / Library Desk Blotter With Engraved Silver Mounts

Fascinating item for the collector. Perfect addition to the libabry or desk of a person of taste.
A heavy and high quality antiquarian book binding (dating to at least the early 18th century and lik;ey a lot earlier) complete with engraved silver mounts with scrolling design and central cartouche with initials.
This has been later converted in the 19th century to a covetable and practical blotter with the addition of a fine red morocco leather back.
