A pretty Georgian bone china porcelain milk jug, of boat form with distinctive raised strap handle with sharply angled inward step at the bottom and flattened thumb rest sitting just below the top of the handle. A broad running frieze of stylised cornflowers, loosely painted with sky blue and violet enamel and delicate gilt stems, buds and feathery foliage. Further gilded bands around the foot, shoulder and rim and foliate border running below the rim and up the handle.
