A stunning Victorian half tester antique bed finished in hand-paint faded gold with ornately designed panels and decorative castings. The tall back posts support a half round canopy from which drapes can be suspended. Ornate brass knobs sit on each of the four poster. This bed was created in the late Nineteenth Century, circa 1880, in the Birmingham area of the UK and made for the export market.

This bed accepts a British King Size (5ft or 150cm wide) base and mattress set.

You will need a bed base to support the mattress. Bed bases sit on the bedstead frame and can be either Firm or Sprung and come in different depths with a choice of covers.
